Over 18 years of military and corporate leadership experience
Buddy founded Mavec Advisors, LLC in 2011 as a diversified consultancy for small-to-medium sized businesses. Mavec was certified by New York State as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) in 2016 and by the Department of Veterans Affairs (federal) as an SDVOSB in 2017.
Previously, Buddy was Managing Director at MidMarket Capital Partners, a $250 million middle market investment strategy where he led deal sourcing, due diligence and underwriting in senior secured, subordinated and uni-tranche loans with equity-linked securities and a debt strategy with assets greater than $1.2 billion (Harch Capital Management – HCM).
Prior to joining (HCM), Buddy served as a senior consultant at Ernst & Young focusing on financial and operational audits, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and business process review across multiple industries for both public and private companies.
Buddy served as a rocket artillery platoon leader, executive officer, and commander in the US Army having executed raids, patrols, and infrastructure security for the Operation Iraqi Freedom I (2003-2004). Buddy was awarded the Bronze Star for combat bravery and service in Iraq where he suffered a traumatic lower leg injury.
Buddy possesses a BS in Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from Touro University International; While at West Point, Buddy was a two-sport Division I athlete at Army (baseball and soccer). He serves on the board of the Veterans Golfers Association (VGA) and the Thomas Cutinella Memorial Foundation.
