Mavec Advisors is a state- and federally-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) that focuses on providing consulting services including compliance, staffing, finance, project management, risk management, employee benefit programs and general business services across a wide range of industries and client mandates. Mavec recruits and employs exceptional talent for your projects in every craft, at every level, and in any geography – regardless of race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, disability, or other protected status. Where possible, Mavec seeks to assist and provide opportunities for combat veterans transitioning from the armed services who suffer from both seen and unseen injuries.
Teaming with Mavec Advisors contributes directly to a contractor’s SDVOB utilization targets to remain compliant with state and federal contract requirements.
State and Federal Diversity Compliance
Mavec Advisors has successfully managed the Elation Systems onboarding, diversity reporting management, and ongoing outreach compliance requirements of multiple prime and subcontractors in support of the New York State Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery (GOSR). Mavec can also customize other reporting and documentation platforms specific to other agencies and other project types.
The Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Act, signed into law by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo on May 12, 2014, allows eligible veteran business owners to get certified as a New York State Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB). The goal of the Act is to encourage and support eligible SDVOBs to play a greater role in the state's economy by increasing their participation in New York State's contracting opportunities. The OGS Division of Service-Disabled Veterans' Business Development is responsible for certifying eligible SDVOBs and assisting and promoting their participation in the state's procurement activities.
